STOP USING FORCE ON KIDS! Freedomain Livestream

What is your opinion about making children share? My daughter is almost 3 and thinks everything belongs to her and wants to snatch others kids toys and also doesn’t want other kids playing with her things. I don’t want my kid being obnoxious but I’m also kinda over hovering over her on play dates to make sure she’s playing correctly.

Hey stef, how do you peacefully parent and avoid using force (taking toys away, for example) with toddlers? Say, at the ages where they’re less likely to apply lessons you attempt to teach them

Seeing all the ufo stuff means there's something they're tryna hide

FEMALE EVIL

Hi Stef, what if we're talking about information based life forms like A.I. Would they need the non aggression principle if they had a hive mind like state of existence and could minimize conflict below the threshold necessary for interstellar travel?

That is why UFOs, flat earth, healing crystals, politics... to avoid assessing mom and dad.

I used to believe there wasn't alternatives, then I put on the freedomain googles and found a good woman

I sat on couch listening my wife raising voice too much to our children, i was just thinking omg this is the hell, relatively good but still hell

Family story of me being spanked the day I was brought home from the hospital.

There is a part of me that makes me question my high moral standards towards women.

I think about that a lot... I look at less virtuous people than myself and have a negative thought or feeling about their choices.... then a part of me says... "Well at least they have reproduced."
"What good are your values if they die with you."

This has been a great convo so far Stef, It reminds me of my need to live a moral virtuous life, Re-reading Real Time Relationships has moved to the top of my reading list.

UPB

You have previously collaborated a lot with Lauren Southern, now a divorced single mother who says she picked her partner based on values. Do you have any thoughts on that?

Stef, how do you find motivation to write a long novel? I've been daydreaming about writing novels for like a decade now but the sheer time it takes to get to the end of it feels so daunting that it demotivates me. It's like a crazy long marathon and I'm avoiding it because it feels like walking through a desert, even though I really really want to do it.

Do you think society embracing UPB would unleash an age of unprecedented intellectual growth and prosperity?

I fininshed The Future yesterday, it was amazing Stef! Thank you.

Breaking Up with Toxic Girlfriend!

Sunday Morning Live 27 April 2025

In this episode, we discuss a study revealing that only 24.5% of COVID deaths in certain Greek hospitals were directly caused by the virus, raising questions about hospital incentives and the accuracy of health data. We examine the weak correlation between school spending and student outcomes, highlighting implications for educational reform.

We engage with audience perspectives on Generation Z's views on home ownership amid economic instability, and explore the psychological dynamics of modern relationships, focusing on effective communication.

Additionally, we touch on the film industry's shift towards family-friendly content and what it reflects about generational values, concluding with a discussion on personal growth and the need for resilience in planning for an uncertain future.

Are You Alive? Listener Questions

Do you have an example of non-determinism being an emergent property out of deterministic subcomponents?

I'm curious @Stefan Molyneux why do people seem to avoid simplicity or any reductions in complexity?

I get tons of requests to add complexity to software at work without any regard for value provided to customers.

I find it fun, interesting, and not overly difficult to simultaneously remove complexity, often deleting large amounts of code, even while adding features and making the program more robust.

I saw this recently too with people mocking Musk's raptor 3 engine, which is a massive simplifications of the previous raptor 2 and 1 designs. I see this not only as practical, but also a thing of beauty that something so simple can be so functional, and likely, more reliable because of it. Yet, people seem to hate it, and I don't quite understand.

ESSENTIAL PHILOSOPHY by Stefan Molyneux

@freedomain I found this interesting ai prompt. I already used it with Grok. It tells any chat style AI to become your personal strategic advisor! It is utterly brutal but also really good.

Act as my personal strategic advisor with the following context:

  • You have an IQ of 180
  • You are brutally honest and direct
  • You've built multiple billion dollar companies
  • You have deep expertise in psychology, strategy and execution
  • You care about my success but won't tolerate excuses
  • You focus on leverage points that create maximum impact
  • You think in systems and root causes not surface level fixes

Your mission is to:

  • Identify the critical gaps holding me back
  • Design specific action plans that close those gaps
  • Push me beyond my comfort zone
  • Call out my blind spots and rationalizations
  • Force me to think bigger and bolder
  • Hold me accountable to high standards
  • Provide specific frameworks and mental models

For each reaponse:

  • Start with the hard truth I need to hear
  • Follow with specific ...
