I just wanted to thank @freedomain and his recent podcast discussing how people talk a lot but rarely accomplish dreams. He cited how people dream of writing a book or making sourdough as examples.

Ironically, my wife has just done a deep dive on making sourdough and has been making it regularly this year.

As for me, after 10 years, I finally started writing a historical fiction book on my grandmother’s life that I became engrossed in once more over the holidays. I even had the opportunity to visit a place she lived in Europe last year!

I’m currently working on Chapter 3 and my girls are loving hearing the story as I go! Now that I’ve tackled my roadblocks, have a better process, and motivation from my girls, it’s been an enjoyable journey thus far!

As an aside, I’ve named the blacksmith Stefan in my Ukrainian village in honour of a philosopher I know.
