"Hi Stef, my mother-in-law seems to perfectly fit the description of "borderline personality disorder". My wife used to get upset at me for not playing along to appease her dysfunctional mother but after a few years of therapy came to realize that behavior is not normal. She drew boundaries and cut regular contact with her mother and our lives became much more peaceful. We now have an 11 week old baby, and her mom is trying to come back into our lives as if everything is normal. I would love to cut contact with her, but my wife wants to do her "due diligence" before she cuts her out. She let her mother meet our baby boy, but I've refused to let her hold him. We both know we need to have a direct, difficult discussion with her mother but my wife fills with anxiety at the thought of the confrontation. There is no point of contention in our marriage, we are in agreement and everything is great, except having her mom continually trying to meet up with us. Is this worth a call in? There is something holding my wife up from this, perhaps hearing it from someone other than me can help?"

Here's what a friend wrote to me in French
The context of this response was in relationship to me sharing that I was hoping for a system collapse because we had become morally bankrupt as a society and that it would easier to build the after .
He questioned my motivation for my claims and pinpointed successfully my hypocrisy which I criticise a system that I draw ressource from .
I didn't appreciate the verbal abuse so I blocked him direct .
Wow, t'as du lire trop vite, je t'assure que c'est bourré de philosophie mon message.
Il y a absolument rien avoir avec tes choix. Si Bob me sort la même opinion, je dirais juste respect.
Pourquoi ? Si c'est le cas, ses choix seront assumés. Le matin, il se réveille tel un homme. Le pain qu'il mets sur la table vient uniquement de son dur labeur.
De ton côté, je ne sais pas si ce n'est qu'en français(ce qui expliquerai ma sensibilité sur ce sujet) on a pas mal d'expressions tel que:

And with this latest move…he’s just RECIPROCATING something that’s been done to the United States for a long time.
The people who get it also LIKE what he’s doing, and get the clear reason why.
Here's something I found this rather interesting – an AI researcher attempted to create personality profiles for all the popular chat models by prompting them to create a series of comic strips about themselves, and analyzing how they chose to represent themselves and what themes they chose to talk about.
Then she fed the comic strips back to the AIs to see if they would recognize themselves in them (most did). While I don't think that this necessarily proves consciousness (since a personality can be trained or programmed in), it's fascinating how consistent each model was in their self-representation, and how differently they each "feel" about themselves and their role in the world.
