Philosopher Stefan Molyneux takes deep rapid-fire philosophy questions!

What are some ways to identify if a person is treating you as a means to their end, instead of treating you as an end in oneself? In other words: how to identify if someone is using you, no matter how sneakily they try to do it. Thank you

Parenting and computer time.... I have heard your view before, that you need to provide your children something more engaging, but I'd love more discussion around that

Stefan, what does Philosophy tell us about using animals for laboratory research? Or perhaps animal cruelty in general?

I'm about 25% of the way through your book on UPB and I suspect it may tie in or connect at some point, but wanted to ask regardless.

My son who's 12 won't stop playing Minecraft. We try to be fun, have adventures but he doesn't want to do anything. It's very frustrating

I’m angry that immoral people seem to attain more economic success than moral people. They seem to even have more children. Your thoughts on living in peace with this?

I would like to know your opinion on how you overcome demotivation on an objective you consider important.

I'm passionated about optimisation and I'm trying to implement the Get Things Done (GTD) framework so that I can have more efficiency in achieving my next objectives and also demonstrate by action my dedication to optimisation and perseverence similar to a sport coach that is more credible by being fit.

I tryed to clarify smaller steps to achieve it and encapsulate it in a monthly objective.
I tryed to change the way I perceive that objective by changing it with subtile differences and adapt it to my preferences.
I tryed to challenge me a little more or reduce the difficulty of the monthly objective.

But it seems like I fall back on my previous objective to be more healthy and fit to reconfort me in the hability to succeed in my objective and take actionable steps. Other times, I advance on my next objective to find a life partner, but it doesn't seems like I'm able to focus on the objective I consider being the most important and I'm kinda working on the 3 objectives without big results on the GTD one.

Any helps or tricks or process or questions to reflect that you apply to yourselft to unblock your motivation and improve your perseverance are welcome.

is it possible for one to have sympathy but lack empathy? If so how can you tell the difference?

Thoughts on how to deal with a manipulative mother-in-law? Should I approach her (in an R-T-R manner), or leave this to my husband?

Why do people take the Lord’s name so flippantly? (Saying “Oh my God” or “Jesus Christ”)

Why do some dads push their sons so hard in sports? What are they compensating for?

how does i move on from friends who pretended to be virtue enthusiasts, but got upset when i took my virtue seeking to the next level. specifically, they were being passive aggressive at me for starting to cut off my mother for yelling at me and refusing to reason with me. when i confronted them, they got angry, said it was my fault, and cut me off

I am mid 30's and got news about 4 years ago that my 'swimmers ' have a genetic defect and most likely will not be able to carry a child to term and high chance of deformity or still birth. I have been thinking if this leaves me with only dating older women or taking myself off the market period. Yes, I am open to adoption but would not feel right wasting a younger women's fertility. I am working so will not be able to listen live. Looking forward to hear what you have to say for myself and others that may be going through something similar. Thanks!

What does it mean to be a good person?

Is it worthwhile trying to wake up my 84 yr old dad to the fact he’s in a cult? He’s been in it for 52 years and completely shuns his 3 kids for leaving it. He has no relationship with his grandchildren or great grandchildren. Thankyou.

how do you make friends in today’s society

When you met your wife, was your income high for your age? Curious on how much men should focus on money to attract a mate.

Why do some people become glassy eyed and revert to telling anecdotes and stories when confronted with evidence and questions? E.g. someone tells me a story of a disadvantaged kid learning something when I had briefly mentioned intelligence

Recommendations for finding a good job? I work in sales/customer service but often don’t find it stimulating and/or gratifying. I’d love to find a job that is related to my values.

Oooo, I thought of a related question. What are some "red flags" that women should look for when dating?

Should You Save Marriages? Freedomain Listener Questions

In this episode, we explore complex familial relationships through a listener's struggles with anger and resentment towards their mother. I stress the importance of free will in decision-making and the need for personal accountability in addressing difficult emotions. We discuss the role of community in marital issues, using Stephen Crowder's divorce as a lens, and examine how societal values shape relationship choices.

Additionally, we touch on the influence of religion and philosophy on moral development and the implications of biohacking and longevity on emotional connections. Finally, we consider the effects of parentlessness and societal structures on fertility rates, encouraging listeners to actively engage with their relationship complexities and submit questions for future exploration.

Jordan Peterson vs Atheists!

Wednesday Night Live 28 May 2025

This livestream mixes humor with serious discussions on societal norms and issues. Starting with a bizarre sinus infection story, the host critiques crime governance and highlights Britain's first private police force. The conversation covers declining youth literacy, political accountability, and the absurdity of the "autopen." Lighthearted segments on "Florida Man" memes and social interaction dynamics lead to a listener phone-in addressing self-worth in relationships. The host blends humor with commentary on mental health and evolving attraction, concluding with an invitation for further audience engagement.

Subscribers get early previews for shows!

Stefan Molyneux examines criticisms of anarcho-capitalism, focusing on the relationship between property rights and state power. He challenges concerns about privatization, arguing it can improve public goods access and maintenance. Molyneux addresses the moral implications of coercively funded public resources and argues for voluntary resolution of social issues. He dismisses fears of mini-tyranny in property rights enforcement and advocates for governance based on consent and personal responsibility, encouraging a reexamination of societal structures.
