Locals questions answered!
How do you know when to hold someone responsible for forgetting? When does one genuinely forget something? Is it just a matter of discerning the response from a forgetter when you point out the forgetfulness?
Where is the line between conscientious introspection and navel-gazing?
it is often stated that women are more valued in society. Women reproduce more, men are disposable etc. but why is it then, that more female babies are being aborted? It is also mentioned in "the origins of war in child abuse" that more baby girls were killed as infants.
Thank you!
Hi Stef, have a 20 month old and we're wondering where to set our expectations in terms of reasoning. Since around 13 months he's been able to communicate his preferences to yes or no questions, and at around 18 months began the transition into agreements such as can we play after brushing your teeth in the morning. I would say 90% of the time it works fine, with the other portion requiring more convincing/patience with him sometimes crying to get what he wants. My question is whether this is too soon for this and we should wait until he is a bit older to fully understand the deal concept? Or if there is something wrong with the approach. Thanks again for all your help and everything that you do.
Stef, I have a question about fiction, fantasy, to be more specific.
You mentioned before how this kind of fiction is a way to escape reality. Potentially, a way to not deal with real problems.
I'm a wannabe writer, from a market perspective, I see fantastic universes as a way to attract readers. It's way easier to convince people to read a book about a magic school, than a book about WWI.
Is there a way to do fantasy without subtracting from the message?
I saw what you did with "The Future", it is a fiction scenario. But I would like to go even further, that's why (if possible) I would like to ask you for some sort of guiding principle, so my story will still be able to deliver what's important: moral instruction.
Hi Stef. I know you are into music, but are you into hi-fi? What kind of system do you listen to music on? Have you heard of digital room correction which helps to compensate for the negative effects of the listening room, (Dirac is a good example) or the 'Bacch' system which restores the 3D soundstage imaging of the original stereo recording? Many thanks.

Stefan Molyneux takes a look at how people reacted to an ICE raid in Minneapolis, pointing out what he sees as blindness to government authority. He throws in some jokes about how men and women handle threats differently, then weighs in on a caller's situation—whether to let a colleague crash at his place. From there, Molyneux shifts to the government's place in society and some broader international tensions, pushing folks to question the big ideological fights and consider their own role in how things turn out.

Stefan Molyneux addresses questions from his audience on epistemology and ethics, focusing on why he trusts people who've done manual labor. He explains that those experiences build a practical outlook through inductive reasoning and a respect for real-world facts. Molyneux draws a line between the "sovereignty of mind" and the "sovereignty of matter," using his own stories to show how prayer or wishing alone gets nowhere without real effort. He stresses turning vague dreams into solid plans, while calling out cultural stories that hype up ambition without any follow-through. Instead, he pushes for a realistic take on personal goals. In the end, Molyneux points out that accepting matter's primacy helps build toughness and forward movement, and he encourages people to chase their aims with steady work.
